Excellent point. College football is best when it's driven by passion rather than money.

I'm fine with players opting out of the bowl. I'm sure it helped Nuss to start in the bowl game last year with JD there to support him. I would just as soon as the probably starter for next year gets a start to see what it's like to play an entire game against a quality opponent.

You're right, I'm sure McCaffrey chose to sit out of their game against Notre Dame just because..

You know for a fact that he was 100% healthy?

Surely you realize the financial impact.
Injury to a top 5 guy could cost them millions if they drop.
Injury to a day 2 or 3 guy could be 100s of thousands

I dont think campbell or jones are playing. Campbell said he would travel and be on the sidelines like Daniels did last season. Taylor is the one who should do like Nabers and play until he secures the tight end yardage (or whatever it is) record.

Yesh im sure the guy who ran for 21, 23, 32, 17, 31, 30 carries, including numerous receptions and punt returns in 6 straight games leading up to the bowl game, was all of a sudden hurt after a month of doing nothing? A guy misses one game in the middle of a season and here goes Mr troll trying to play both sides.
See, unlike CMC, Fournette was hurt BEFORE the season. They talked about it a lot. After his first game, he missed the next game. He played 2 games then missed 2 games. He played 4 games, then missed the last game of the regular season. It's clear that he was hurt and playing hurt all year. He didn't play in one game vs a bad opponent that season. Why waste him in those games?. He would have played the TAMU game too, but he hurt himself vs Florida. Compare that to CMC was getting 30 carries vs friggin Riceand 5-6 Cal at the end of the season.
We actually got rumors of Ed O not wanting him to play the bowl game because of his future. We didnt get any of that with CMC.
