Initially the thought was Sterling Sharpe made Fabre and that Fabre wouldn't be able to do much after Sharpe had to retire.

Sharpe was that highly thought of.

Five straight Pro Bowls and a couple of 100-catch seasons will do that. Dude was a beast, strong enough to beat any corner off the line.

True story. Was at a Dallas Desperadoes game and ran into Sterling Sharpe while my kids were getting players autographs. Knew he was Sterling but (accidentally) (stupidly) called him Shannon instead. Apologized profusely immediately afterward.

He was not amused
