I'm not sure that there's a huge market for a 32 year old pitcher owed $31MM over the next two years that has a long line of back problems. Just saying.

Hopefully the M's can get hot and not be willing to let Cliff Lee go in a trade. That would hurt the Astros in getting the best possible deal.

The Astros may have to eat some of the contract in order to get the best return possible but there would be several teams interested in him.
