I have said from even before the draft that Tua would not be very succssesful as a pro. And they had some posters that said he was already better than Burrow and would easily be a better pro than him.
People were tricked by his WR in college. Tons of people thought he had this dynamite deep ball and was incredible at picking apart defenses.

His longest throw in college was 44 yards and was intercepted by Todd Harris Sark had the best play calling stretch of his career with Tua. It fooled a ton of people.

What song was the crowd just singing? I couldn’t make it out.
Mr. Brightside.

I had the same question, answered by my wife.

My next question was, “Why?”

Tua's best year was under Mike Locksley.

And I'm not sure where you're getting that 44 number from, but pre-hip injury Tua had a fairly live arm.

Video went viral of the team singing it at Dawson Knox’s wedding. Stadium promptly plays it late in the following game and both team and fans go nuts…. Plays weekly since.

When Tua recovered his own early fumble I told myself I'd have a wait until his interception would happen.
So late in the 4th, with the game still open, I looked at the TV and said, "OK,Tua, now is when you throw your heart breaking interception."
And he did.

Technically, but he was on pace for better numbers in 19.

That was his longest air yard throw of his career at Alabama. It might have been a 51 yarder against UGA, but I'm fairly positive it was in the 2018 LSU game.

His deep balls were after just not as deep as perceived. Ruggs/Waddle would get behind the defense almost immediately, and Tua could let it go within a second of dropping back. This could result in a 75 yard touchdown with 25 air yards from LOS (how that stat is measured).

Awful play calling at the end. Run the ball, eat up the clock, and try to walk it off with an 8-pointer.
