I think he is good but ya'll need another star like a top 3 at their position guy to compete for a championship in the West or a shite load of depth. West is a good player, don't get me wrong but teams who win championships usually ahve 3 superstars on their squad. SA with Tim, Manu, and Tony. Boston with Ray, KG, and Pierce. Lakers are probably gonna do it with 2 and a shite ton of depth this year and I think CP3 is good enough that he could do it with just 1 other. That 1 other needs to be someone better than D West is all IMO.

they can beat the blazers, i don't think any expects them to beat LA.

They have guys who can hit big shots, it's just a matter of getting Yao the ball late in games. I feel comfortable with anybody on the court taking an open jumper coming off of a kickout from a Yao double team. Most teams have been fronting him late in games, I read somewhere that Portland wouldn't do that.

they showed him getting dressed in the locker room earlier and didn't say anything about him not playing so i'd assume he's a go..

Not having T mac killed our chances. This is a very good team but it's not a championship team. With T mac from last year this team is a 2 seed and competing seriously with LA. Without him we are probably gonna get out of the first round and get skullfricked in the 2nd by the Lakers. At least if we beat the Blazers they will get that 1st round monkey off their back

I just feel like Yao shrinks from it at the end of the game. If that guy would demand the ball he always seems to make good decsions.

He has a hard time getting open sometimes, and a lot of times his teammates don't do a good job of getting him the ball... New season starts tonight though, LET'S GET IT ON!

Agreed

I say Rockets in 5. I honestly don't get the ESPN folks taking Portland in this one.

brick, i think brooks could eventually be that guy, but it's too soon to expect him to be a closer. yao and ronnie have to be the guys down the stretch. portland really doesn't have anyone that can check artest.

You think he will be that good? I think that he may be a little to small.

i'm saying he has the potential to be that type of player. i'm not saying he's on parker's level right now.

He has made a ton of improvements since last year and he was not a bad player last year. He definately has the skills and speed to be a Tony Parker "lite" type of player in the future
