Good idea?
Can we really expect two teams at their best 4 days after their last game? From all accounts, players can't even walk straight until Tuesday. I realize that Thanksgiving is tradition, but this NFL Network thing (which started earlier this year) may be too much.
If the 10-6 SF/Chicago game is any indication.....watch out.

Well, you know this isn't the first year this has happened, right? there is a bigger sample of data to draw evidence from. Too busy to go and look, but the Dallas/GB game either last year or the year before was a great game that was on Thursday night I believe.

I don't understand why they didn't do the schedule so that the two teams (SF/Chi) would have had byes the week before.

Well, that would solve the "problem" early in the year, but not later once all byes have been completed.
