The play was stupid. Whoever gets the last shot should be catching it at the top of the key and going off a ball screen from the same guy who freed him up. They had plenty of time.

did it look like the inbounds passer hesitated in passing it to Westbrook?
looked like he really didn't want to make that pass, but had to anyways....

Kobe bruh
Seriously though league avg is 28%.
Durant is frickin pissed

Durant and Westbrook are looking more and more like a Garnett and Marbury situation.

seriously durant has been horible this game at shooting, and last game he didn't hit any shots of significance late
i mean i'd prefer durant taking that shot than westbrook, but durant was denied the ball...again

This is part of that mentality that the star always has to take the last shot, regardless of who he's playing or what the situation is. It's ridiculous. FWIW the Hornets have been by far the best team in the NBA in "crunch time" scenarios, because they have a star who looks for the best play, not the best shot. Even though that flies in the face of message board logic.
A 6'10" guy that can shoot over anybody should always take the last shot. Just like I believe Dirk should always take the last shot for the Mavs.

Mayo with 5 fouls, good lord.

I'm with you..
Also, Durant never seems to get open in those crunch time situations.

Westbrook gets better separation on his shots than Durant. There are a lot of different ways to look at it.
I have no problem with either taking the shot, honestly. I do have a problem with the action going towards the corner, so the action is forced to one side of the floor.

What an awful possession. Battier was a damn good pickup for the Grizzlies at the deadline.

I'd prefer Durant taking the shot too if he can get loose, but I really don't get the outrage over Westbrook taking it.

You got to make Randolph use his post moves, rather than let him shoot a 10-15 foot jumper

Conley always good for a few bonehead plays down the stretch

I also want Mavs/Thunder because I need more Westbrook/Durant drama. It's good TV.

Give him the fricking ball.
