Of course the rest were good picks. Just funny that you lumped in that pick with the rest.

Was making point that he had arguably best 3 drafts back to back to back in NBA history. Just so happens one was a no-brainer.

Careful. After Spurs were up 2-0 in WCF people were saying they were going to sweep, win in 5, biggest mismatch ever

i wasnt one of the ones saying that. after game 4, i predicted that OKC would win games 5 and 6. And after game 1 in this series, i have a similar impression. i beleive that OKC isnt just a better team on the court, but probably a better organization as a whole.

that is probably true

and OKC is a better team. I would never say that Miami won't win a game or it's done but....

you would think if Miami was gonna win one it would have been that one and I don't see matchups ever favoring Miami in this series

I will say this: Miami beat the Mavs at home by 8 points last year in Game 1 and then proceeded to lose 4 of the next 5. This series is LONG from over. Miami will make adjustments. Be very interesting to see if they can make said adjustments work for them going forward.

...but I don't think things look good for Miami.

Yea, It is easy to look at it that way after a game 1 loss. But they are pretty good at making adjustments after games. And the heat looked good in the first half, they just need to play to that level again.

Not looking good, but far from over

Heat looked good because Thunder handled ball poorly and Battier/Chalmers made their first 6 three pointers.

One of those probably isn't going to happen again.

Cannot say enough about Thabo's defense on Wade (and a bit on Lebron). Talking heads are all saying Wade needs to step up. No idea why no one is giving Thabo credit. He bothered the heck out of Wade the entire time he guarded him. Plus some of the transition steals he had and hustle fouls he drew were crucial.

I agree with all points but this one. He did excellent on Wade early..

One of the main turning points in the game and especially the 4th quarter was that Thabo basically shut down Lebron's ability to draw help when driving the lane. He no longer had the same open guys to pass to.

Also didnt hurt that Wade seem reluctant to get to the lane and settled mostly for jump shots no matter who was guarding him. This allowed Brooks to make the adjustment to move Thabo over to Lebron for the remainder of the game.
