I think it is totally wrong to put up such a charade as to idolize Paterno, Penn State and call its players victims.

Then don't idolize them...you have a choice.

And frankly, you're using the wrong word...pointing out that the players are unfair victims in this hysteria isn't idolizing them. Okay?

I believe you misunderstood. Paterno and Penn State have been idolized by some of the media, its community and its students.

The players have not been idolized as victims but they have been in the spotlight for going through this, which is wrong also. These players have been betrayed which they can get over because they are only playing a mere game but for the kids - this is their life. This should be about the kids who were sexually assaulted, the perpetrators of this horrendous crime and the ones who covered it up or walked away from the incident.

The OP has yet to mention one case wher Paterno saw a crime committed. His anger should be at Sandusky, Curley, and McQuear not Paterno, who may not have reported it directly, but he did report it.

Do I condone what happened, of course not. And as I am legally required to report (hotline) any SUSPECTED abuse to a child, we must remember these are ALLEGATIONS not a conviction.

#1) I fault McPussy for not beating Pedodusky to a bloody pool of flesh and rescuing the little boy when he witnessed what he did.

#2) I fault Paterno for "letting things go" after he reported things and nothing serious was done.

#3) frick everyone else at penn state for not doing more to make sure that psycho was put away years ago.

This whole thing makes my blood boil and not just because I have a little boy but that helps.
