But Americans don't think for themselves anymore. Just look at how many will repost on Facebook or Tweeter some fake bot "news" article.
in general, people don't think for themselves, and never have. most people are and have always been followers.

Bowls mean 15 extra practices and that means more development for the younger players. It's invaluable practice time you can't get back.
This should be allowed for all teams. Why prevent the worst teams in the country from being able to develop their players, too? Just open December/January up to 15 practices for all programs.

There were always 4 or 5 too many. That being said, I loved the old bowl system. Big10 and PAC10 champs playing each other. Cotton Bowl, Sugar Bowl, & Holiday Bowl matchups of teams you didn’t regularly get to see.
And teams that don’t make the playoffs had something to play for. I remember the 90s when we were excited to be playing Notre Dame in the Independence Bowl. What does Nebraska have to be excited about now?
I didn’t even mind the pre-BCS era where there was no championship. Made for great debate on who would have won between this team and that team. You know, back when people used to talk to each other.
I hate this era of college football.

What's funny is FSU stormed the field after winning the Cheez It Bowl in December 2022 but then a year later suddenly bowls don't matter anymore.
