Chambers and it's not even close. Gates isn't healthy yet, so they will be throwing to Chambers a lot. I am starting Chambers next to Andre Johnson in front of Greg Jennings and Roy Williams.

No Muhammed with Steve Smith suspended? That was my other choice.

Sit Smith. Play Lewis and Johson.

Really? Smith is about all they have this week until Rudi gets ready, no Bell anymore.

I think both Lewis and Johnson have tough weeks and doesn't Lewis have a tweaked hamstring? Don't know, this is my first go round.
Thanks

Nope. Would you have started Muhammed if he was still in Chicago? Exactly. Keep in mind that they don't have ANYBODY at WR either.

I could ride with you on Jennings, but not Roy Williams. Not against Atlanta. Roy is around 6-7 this week depending on your scoring system.

I hear you, but Johnson and Lewis were first rounders in my league. I don't see starting a rookie in his first game above two vets who are proven runners. On average, the bad days for Lewis and Johnson are going to be better than the good days for Smith--at least until he's exploded a time or two.

The flip side is that Detroit wants to establish the run and the game is not likely to be a blow out given the frail offense on the other side of the ball (I mean that DET will run if it is not worried about coming from behind).

If you're going to sit Lewis or Johnson, I'd say sit Lewis if there's a health issue. If not, I'd go with Larry. That team is going to hand him the ball if they get in the red zone. Cleveland may be in a shoot out against the 'Boys.

Who San Diego or Carolina? Carolina has DJ Hackett and San Diego has VJ who looked GREAT in the game I saw this preseason. It was the 3rd game, which is the closest to a real one.

Hmmm. Hackett? Has he been seen in the vicinity of a football? If so, I haven't heard about it. I hope you're right about VJ. He's on my bench, but I'd like to use him as a sub when the bye weeks roll around.

Hackett was supposed to be this big sleeper last year, as was VJ. Neither performed up to their preseason hype though. Hackett could see substantially more looks the first 2 weeks though with Smith gone. He was a starter in Seattle before he got hurt. Not that I would start him, I don't even have him on any of my teams, but I could see him cutting into Moose's numbers the first 2 weeks.

Just looked and Hackett is actually the starter with Steve Smith. Moose is technically listed as being behind Smith on the depth chart. You can take that as Hackett's going to get some balls the next 2 weeks. You could take that as Moose is going to run Smith's routes thus taking Smith's huge lion share of the receptions the next 2 weeks.

I was referring to Chicago. You were saying that Muhsin Muhammad would be good without Smith on the field, but he didn't have anything close to Smith on the field his entire time in Chicago, and he definitely wasn't a fantasy stud.

Looked at the new projections for the weekend:

3*-Moose
3*-Hackett
3*-VJ

Don't want to give the exact numbers, but those guys were in that order in the 30's.

I didn't say Moose was going to be a stud, the other guy was. I don't have Moose on any team. I could see either scenario happening personally. He could go off or not touch the ball. Jake is comfortable with him and look his way in Smith's absence imo. Not sure he'll blow up though.

I seem to have a lot of WRs, but can't decide who to start. Here's the list. Thoughts anyone?

L Evans v. Seattle (Trent Edwards (knee) not 100%)
M Colston-definite start
W Welker v. Kansas City
A Gonzalez v. Chicago
E Royal @ Oakland
J Porter @ Ten. (may play, but coming of inj.)
S Smith (of the NYG) v. Washington
V Jackson v. Carolina (Gates not yet 100%)

I'm leaning toward Colston, Welker, Evans.

Since no one gave me input earlier, anyone have thoughts? I need three of these seven to start?

No. Harrison is starting.

That is tough man. I'd probably go with whoever was projected the highest.

That's my issue. Vincent Jackson and Steve Smith (NYG) are projected higher than Welker. I just don't see it. Also, I'm concerned about starting Jackson because I'm starting Rivers, and I try never to put too many eggs in one basket. Game starts in 30 minutes. I'm just not going to be able to pull the trigger on Smith. That will give me a couple of more days to think about Jackson, Evans, etc. I'll save Gonzalez for after Harrison goes down with another injury.

Williams until Stewart breaks out. With the turf toe (or whatever he had), I look for Stewart to start slow.
