I have a feeling that Judge is going to be this generation’s Mattingly. Great player, good dude but the front office will continue to fail him.

A very good point. Donny baseball was an elite player even though his stats may not show it. I’ll put it this way, if Jeter had played for KC he would have been decent but not what he was. Put Mattingly on any team and he would have been great his whole career.

Injuries got him but his prime was pretty incredible, he did some unbelievable things and always shined in the moment. His homer in the 95 playoff is one of the loudest, most joyous and emotional moments in Yankee stadium history and it wasn’t even a league championship or World Series game.
