Osaka has her struggles with asian junkballers. Of course, she rips off 4 games to win the match after I said that.

Never count out Osaka on hard court Bunk. I’m glad my old school serve and volley Taylor Townsend is back in action I had fun watching her in Forrest Hills, Queens. She’s has to win the tiebreaker.

That Greek heathen will be the first youngster to win a slam I bet. If Las Vegas has a betting pool on the first player to win a Slam besides Fed, Rafa, or Novak, I’d put money of Tsitsipas if I had any.

The big U.S. Open win she had, I think it was against Simona, was awesome. She just took the match now with two great passing shots.

It's super windy. Watch out for some scores that don't make sense today on the outer courts.

Townsend is fun to watch I haven’t seen a player attack the net like her since Martina Navratilova. And I agree that match she played against Halep at the Openwas incredible.

I believe there was some controversy between Townsend and the USTA. The USTA funds top juniors to help offset training and travel expenses. They refused to fund her at one point due to her weight. Personally I think she's just a big girl and can't help it. Possibly there is more to the story but that was my limited understanding of it.

Yea I head them say something about that during last summer US Open and I’m with you I just think it’s genetics and Townsend’s weight or physique doesn’t prevent her from playing great tennis. Plus a true serve and volley player is constantly moving forward and that is more physically demanding than playing baseline and moving side to side. She’s in great physical shape and she proved it to the WTA powers that be so they lifted the ban.

Crack, CoCo Gauff drops the first set to Cirstea not looking good. For the 2020 Summer Olympics the United States can only send 4 female players to Japan. It should be Serena, Keys, Kenin, and I can’t pick a fourth. If Gauff could make the Semifinals of a Slam I’d say her.

Sloane Stephens should be the 4th but she's enigmatic at this point with her inconsistency.

I'm higher on Anisimova than Gauf fwiw.

Yea but Amanda Anisimova lost yesterday in the first round of Australia. I’m high on her too but I have to see that the French Open Semifinals wasn’t her high mark. We need good hard court players too for the Olympics. I hope Gauff can make the second week in Melbourne.

Tennys can def beat 6'5 Berrettini in the wind. He could make a run here and face Roger in the quarters.

I would like to see that Tennys vs Federer match in the Quarterfinals and yea he should be able to beat the Italian in four sets.

I feel like I can say with about 99% certainty that will not be her high mark

Coco Gauff is annoying as hell with the constant come ons.

Chair needs to tell her to knock it over.

Let’s go Sorana!

You won’t find a chair umpire in women’s tennis that will reprimanded Gauff. Wow what a rally that was. That little 15 year old can band it out on the baseline man. It’s OK with me if she’s cocky as long as she backs it up.

It’s just annoying and off putting. I just can’t root for her with the constant “come ons” after every point she wins. It’s excessive.

I’d rather watch constant grunt fests Than that. Personal preference. That is all.

Plus got root for my fellow 30 something.

She's 15 years old, damn.

Feels more like a coded race thing.
