That was a gutty service game at least, but things don’t look promising at the moment

The serve outside on the deuce court for Tennys looks so much slower right now. Nerves and five sets will do that to you.

With that said, two good holds for Tennys.

Even with Fed looking at or near 100% now, I don't see him having a huge edge here.

I don’t see anybody beating Djoker but I’m pulling for Rafa first then Stanimal second.

I'm so fricking sick of being an American tennis fan.

Big ups to Sandgren for making it this far, but when it's he, Isner and Querry as the only Americans to make it to the quarters since Roddick retired, it just shows you how fricked our country is in this sport.

Tennys looked totally unprepared for that return on the serve out wide at deuce. Been kicking arse with it all day, and it seems like the thought that Fed would get back a good deep return never crossed his mind.

Didn't even realize Sock never did that. Imagine making the top 10 without reaching the QFs of a slam once.

You’re leaving out Tiafoe, but I get your point.

Fed basically said he was conceding defeat in the match and Tennys couldn't even take it.

frick.

Forgot about him last year.

At least he still has room to improve whereas the other three have maxed out who they are as players.

I keep on hearing about the future being bright but it seems like we're not progressing from juniors. Fritz seems like our brightest hope right now and that doesn't instill too much confidence.

He’s not one to retire ever. I figured he go through motions and just lose but....

He told Courier just now that basically that's what he was doing.

Fritz, Tommy Paul, and Reilly Opelka all won junior slams. One would think that kind of success would translate for at least one of them at the next level.
