If the match doesn't finish, the sport books would count that as a NO play and just refund your money.

Some books vary though.

Would you get the win for that withdrawal?

At most books, yes. 1 completed set is usually the requirement for the match to have action.

Novak's match against Mannarino was definitely a lower level of tennis than the other R16 matches.

And now I see he retired against Berdych. What happened?

Federer move to skip clay season in order to fully recover from his injuries is paying huge dividends now.

Federer

Is by far the best player in the world right now and has been all year.

Eta except for clay lol. My point though is if weren't a point based ranking system Fed would be #1 right now.

Fed just felt like toying with him.

I wouldn't say by far.

Nadal would have beaten him in like every clay court tournament if he had played and made it far enough. Besides whatever one it was that Nadal lost early

Me either. He is playing the best this year, but he had several five setters in Australia, and then saved a few match points in the 1000 level tournaments before the clay season.

Cilic does have the best shot out of the remaining players to beat Federer. He was up 2 sets last year and probably should won, but didn't have the mental fortitude to do so. I know comparing last year to this year Federer is completely different, but Clicic is also playing the best tennis of his career.

Last year Fed lost to Raonic at Wimbledon, who he just finished beating pretty thoroughly. But yes, I could actually see either Berdych or Cilic beating him although he's got to be the clear favorite against both.

I had Berdych over Djokovic. Don't think my guy will pay it out though

Cilic v. Birdman for the title this year.

Looking very possible.

I'd like to see some new blood win at Wimbledon. Only slam that the Big Four has won every single year since 2003 (obvs bc it's the only place Stan hasn't won).

Still don't know how Andy Murray got included in a group along with the other 3. I mean he's good but he doesn't hold an candle to nadals, djok and feds accomplishments. Should be a big 3 instead.

Guy has had a heck of a career. 2 Wimbledon, 2 gold medal, 1 US Open, 1 Davis Cup, 8 grand slam runner ups, 14 Masters 1000 titles, 45 tournament titles. But, yeah, he is not quite with the two best players ever or Novak (who is probably like top 5-8).
