Its impossible to start a thread about Miami ever being good on here without multiple people coming in it and claiming LSU destroyed Miamis program

2005: LSU 40, Miami 3
In what was largely considered the best bowl match-up outside the national championship game, the #9 Miami Hurricanes took on the #10 LSU Tigers in the 28th annual Chick-fil-A Peach Bowl.
The ‘Canes came in as favorites – and as defending champs, having beaten Florida in the previous Chick-fil-A Peach Bowl – but LSU had other ideas. The Bayou Bengals had just been upset by Georgia in the SEC Championship game, and used Atlanta’s bowl game as a way to earn back some respect. They did. What unfolded was the most lopsided victory in Chick-fil-A Peach Bowl history and the worst bowl defeat in Miami history: a 40-3 Massacre by LSU. Backup quarterback Matt Flynn – in for the injured JaMarcus Russell – was the surprise of the night. Flynn earned <VP honors connecting on 13 of 22 passes for 196 yards and two touchdowns. Halfback Joseph Adai ran for 130 yards and another two TDs to complement the Tigers’ impressive offensive performance. A very good LSU defense held a very good Hurricanes’ offense in check all night in what was a very one-sided game – vastly different from the close, hard-fought game the Chick-fil-A Bowl is famous for.

Shannon has Miami in the right direction. They'll be a solid top-10 team next season.

Its like trying to be open minded and a free thinker is looked down upon here. If you disagree with anything you are putting on an act.

My memories of LSU vs Miami - They slammed LSU in Tiger Stadium. Only to have the Tigers destroy them 40-3 to officially end the story of the U.
Karma, UM bitches. And the story that was told was that UM players started the fight. Guess they learned a lesson or two.

What happened after the game wasn't nearly so nice.
Flynn threw two touchdown passes, Joseph Addai rushed for 130 yards and the Tigers humbled Miami's proud defense, even running a couple of fake kicks after the game was a rout and romping 40-3 Friday night in the Hurricanes' most-lopsided bowl loss ever.
There were shoves and punches thrown between players immediately after the game as both teams left the field into the same tunnel. Georgia State Patrol officers intervened, and minutes later Miami's Andrew Bain, apparently dazed, was escorted by officers back out of the ...

Dude, stop being a flaming LSU douche coming in a thread about Miami spouting shite about how awesome LSU is when theyve never come close to accomplishing what Miami has.
It makes it look like you are just seething with envy.

Great stuff...
Loved that documentary. Love the attitude of 80's-early 90's Miami football. Win games, their way. Down to ride for their teammates. Just good stuff. Maybe over the top at times, but the bottom line is this: they won football games, and gave their university far more exposure than they would have gotten on their own. The fact that their president tried to nip it in the bud is just crazy to think that he thought he could control that group. They had no respect for anybody but themselves and their coach. Everyone else could get shat upon. It's refreshing compared to how PC college athletics is today.
