Finally a Hockey franchise placed somewhere in the States where it makes sense...

There is some Howe stuff. Don't remember seeing any Gretz, but they do play in Toyota Center, so most of the stuff is Rockets related.

Well, I've been rooting for the Nucks since the Caps went down. I love the Sedins, Vancouver is a beatiful city, Nuck fans are insane (as I keep pointing out), and their fans have truly suffered. Hard not to root for them. Oh, and they're the best team which should count for something.

BTW - here's a YouTube video of the icing call...
LINK

Even in slow mo, I can't tell if the puck touches Sedin. It certainly hits the glass and changes direction, but I've watched the video like 20 times and I can't tell definitively if it hits the player. I'm fine with the call going either way -- it literally is too close to call. At full speed, live, I think that's a near impossible call to get right. I'm not even sure what the right call is with super slo mo video replay.

There was a time that if you didn't score 100 points, you weren't trying. Even Bernie Nicholls got 70/150 before ending up with the Sharks.

It's funny Baloo, Barry Melrose says no way it hit Sedin on the way out, but CBC, and TSN and Sportsnet all say it did... ahhh well far be it from me to pass up a chance...."stupid refs!"

Any rumors of the contingent schedule yet (ie if Bos wins tonight, what the sched is, and if it goes 7 what it is...). I have PTO and flights to book (and damn dance recitals to work around)

Anyone who says they could tell for sure the moment it happened is lying. My initial read was that it hit the stachon, causing the change in direction, and just missed the player. But, from watching the replay, it appears that while the puck doesn't change direction after passing Sedin, there is a slight flutter. Maybe it nicked him. I seriously don't know.

The Nucks won off two crazy arse bounces. Sometimes it pays to be lucky. And let's face it, the Canucks are owed a little good karma. Then again, so are the Sharks.

Versus replays showed that it did hit Sedin.

Actually doubt going to Van (too hard to get tickets and travel with the kids (2 young ones). TB or Boston... different story. Drop the kids off at Nana and Papa and head out.

Watching the Canucks in Stanley Cup Final = Sole item on my bucket list... been there since I could talk.

One point I do disagree on though is that SJ shed it's Choker label, in fact they choked in game 5, out shoot out work out play Vancity for 4 periods but allow a redirect on Kesler's with 13 secs left? CHOKE
