Restricted free agent Emmanuel Sanders is visiting the Patriots on Friday. Power move. Even low-level restricted free agents rarely escape their tendering team, but the Steelers find themselves in a mess of a cap situation. Sanders is tendered at the original-round level, which means the Patriots would only have to surrender a third-round pick if they signed him to an offer sheet Pittsburgh couldn't match. The Patriots — as you may have heard — have a ton of 2013 cap room left, and could offer a front-loaded deal Pittsburgh didn't have a legitimate chance of matching. Just 26 years old (on Sunday) with 94 catches in three seasons, Sanders would be worth a third-round gamble. He can play all three receiver spots, and has 4.4 wheels.

Ryan Swope would be a good fit for when Amendola goes down

Dustin Keller signs a one year deal with the Dolphins, there's your news. Hopefully he can play more than 8 games.

Good for them, they got Tannehill some weapons.

It wasn't really going to be a challenge to get 2nd in that division anyway.

And when Swope career ends with a brain injury two plays after that? What then?

I dont think that had much to do with it. I think he picked Amendola over Welker regardless of something that happened in 2010

ESPN's Adam Schefter reported on SportsCenter Friday that Brandon Lloyd is willing to return to the Patriots on a reduced contract. Lloyd has a $3 million bonus due Saturday. "They signed Donald Jones, they have Emmanuel Sanders (at club headquarters), and they've gotta make a decision on Brandon Lloyd," Schefter explained. "He's got a $3 million roster bonus. Brandon Lloyd would like to work out a restructured deal. And the two sides, it is my understanding, have spoken about that. Brandon Lloyd could end up staying on in New England at some type of reduced deal."

Guess this will show if the Patriots have any interest in keeping him

Not much left

Greg Jennings? Kolb to Jets? Jake Long? Revis? That's all I can really think of besides all the mid-tier guys

Asomugh? (sp) Old guys, Reed, Harrison, Urlacher. B Pollard, Dumerville? Still a lot of pieces to fall

Talib and Vollmer are still out there but their markets have been crazy quiet so i expect the Pats to resign them both soon

Sean Smith signing for what he did certainly helps the Pats leverage

If Sanders leaves, who the hell does Rapey throw to? Brown and the fleet-footed Heath Miller?

Polumalu to offense. Boom

ETA Sanders stats were a lot lower than i thought they would be as is his tender that he got. Every time i watched the steelers he made a big time play or two. I have a want for him to go to the Pats
