Wikepedia says USA began televising the Masters in 1982.

NO. I have watched the tourney that long. Never said it was the back nine the whole time. I am just tiredof 88 thinking he knows shite that he wasn't there for.

That's cool. Like you, I remember the early coverage by USA but if my fuzzy memory is correct it was only for an hour or two and I don't think they convered the entire back 9 did they?

They gradually got to the whole back nine. But they would show fronm like 2-5;30 and I think it would start at amen corner.
