Besides the venue its just a crappy race... I think that has more to do with attendance than 2008,

I made the race at Bristol twice. The wife and I went in 2010 and the first year with the cot car. Both times the stands were full and we enjoyed the race.
I am a Newman fan and have followed him since 2002.
NASCAR has tried to make the races so safe that they have taken alot of the magic away. They have done so many changes that daytona isn't what it used to be. I don't really like the two car drafting like I did the pack racing, but this years race was better. The cars overheat now when they pack up. NASCAR is killing itself with their safety rules just as the NFL is trying to do the same.
Fans want to see the big wrecks and on the edge of your seat dangerous racing like they want to see the big hits, safety destroying the receiver over the middle hits in the NFL.

The over regulation for safety that NASCAR has implemented will continue to bring the sport down and the NFL will follow the same route. I hope they get their head out their arse and allow racers to race.
Go #39

I like harvick too. He races like a beast.
Newman used to be the rocket man. One year he had 1/3 of the poles in the season. Then he got married and he doesn't run like his arse is on fire and his hair is a catchin anymore

Wow. A whole lot of empty seats at the Brickyard today. NASCAR needs to redyce ticket prices in this economy.

Nice recovery for Bowyer, could've been a whole lot worse coming down off the track.

Yes it is. BUT. I got my Dega tickets for the fall race. OV Hill North Section AA row 25.

Love that place. Been every year at least once since 1990. Some years twice. Back in those Days Dale Sr. ruled the speedway. Fun times those were.
