My point is that Lue has them over a barrel and it appears Jeannie Buss is digging in rather than paying what it takes to get the guy they supposedly want.
The Laker job is not particularly attractive right now for a variety of reasons, so pinching pennies on the guy you want is counterproductive unless he is asking for outrageous stuff.

Look at HCs who told LeBron what to do and see how well that worked.

fo want lue and Kidd but lue is hesitant about that because lue was main asst when blatt coached Cavs and then took his job one year later. lol

It’s not attractive because LeBron is a coach killer and the entire Laker organization is a dumpster fire from top to bottom.
If I were Monty, I would have passed on both LA and Phoenix to see what popped up next season because taking one bad job can keep you from ever getting another head coach job again.
