The bad thing was that here in Washington it was delayed. One of the local news people announced that the USA had won the game.

I watched anyway and cried at the end.

We were the underdog against our Cold War foe and took it to them. A great day, indeed.

Josh Smith would also be a really good international player.

No. '92 had arguably the greatest player ever at each position except center and still those guys were top 5.(David Robinson, Patrick Ewing)

But Magic, Stockton possibly greatest PGs
Jordan geatest SG
Bird possible greatest SF, Pippen greatest defensive SF
Karl Malone, greatest PF-pre Duncan

Why? How? A bunch of college kids beat a roster of what in this day and age would have been half the NHL all-star game in 1980 ice hockey versus an NBA all star team that got all it could handle from Spain, which had a few second tier NBA guys on its team.

Really?

Should have been 125-75.

I think today's game more than dispels that notion.

Set my alarm, but didn't wake up (don't really know why), so just watched the game, great effort, overall. Kobe really took over down the stretch.

Great job, guys!

I don't see Kobe doing the USA thing again. He played great in his one, and he did lead us to the W. I think he hangs up his international shoes, but who knows

I was and although I was only 7 at the time, I can still remember Mike Ruzzioni(sp) scoring that last goal and the team storming the hockey ring at the final horn. I still remember Al Michaels saying 'DO you believe in miracles'. It was awesome.
