I had to mute that interview because it was so cringey. ESPN can't even get back from commercial on time for the first at bat of the game, but they have time for a white manager to talk about racial injustice.

Yeah, that stuff is so cringeworthy and awkward. The notion that all of these forced ceremonies and presentations engender respect is unfortunate and incorrect. I would say it rather causes the opposite of that.
I won't watch any live sporting events until the game starts and if they try to sprinkle in any of this while I'm watching I'll have the mute button or channel button ready.
I'm watching for the game and anything else I'm not interested in. Goes the same as if I'm watching the Cubs game and they get some clown on promoting the fireman's ball in Evanston or something like that...not interested, didn't tune into the ball game to hear about that.
