Comes off the books this offseason. That's another 10M.
I had a nice breakdown in the offseason about the money we will have. Not sure if you read it.
So that would give us 24 million in breathing room. Would that be enough to give out raises, sign a guy like Swisher, extend Bourn, and extend McCann?

No. If we re-sign Bourn we will not be able to do anything else major.

Swisher looks like he belongs in NY though. AKA huge douche

Yeah....I was afraid of that.
We need to take an OF with our 1st round pick this year. New ownership that is willing to bump the payroll up ~$15 million a year would be ideal though.

New ownership in general would be ideal

Dude loves playing the game. I'll take that on a team I'm a fan of any day of the week.
Plus it helps that he draws a shite ton of walks.

Very true. He can put up some solid numbers too

After Arbitration and assuming you pick up the options on Hudson and McCann then you have about 65-70 mill. committed.
With that 20-25 million you would have to fill out 5 bench spots and find a starting LF and CF.
On the positive side you would have the entire bullpen field out and 7 starting pitchers.
I think the solution is pretty obvious with JJ possibly getting around 6.5 million after arby, he has to be moved.

Definitely. Should have traded him at the deadline last year. Everyone knew he couldn't keep that up. Some dumbass GM would have given us a lot for him in the hopes that he would though.

You are also looking at Hanson getting around 4 million as well.
Ideally, I would ilke to drop 10-12 million on a CF and use JJ's salary plus a little extra for a LF at maybe 8 million a year.
Then we should seriously consider locking up Beachy, Heyward, and Freeman through arbitration.
We would have a 10 million after filling out the bench.
Just what I would do though.
