I know a lot of people like Diaz on here but holy shite he should be a full time pinch hitter yet he always manages to rack up starts because we have shite else to turn to.

In all reality, the only starters on the field that others teams would be interested in is BMac and Uggla

At least Diaz hasn't made any errors. Can't blame him for just being less skilled than Heyward. It's our idiot manager's fault for putting him in a terrible position.

Diaz is a LF and nothing more. Fredi is a fricking idiot for asking him to play right.

They're real studs, and I don't think you get my point. This team has no real "aww shite we have to pitch and game plan around this guy" type of player

How do you propose we get someone like that with Liberty media running the show?

Beachy would have a shutout if Heyward was in right and Prado at third, and potentially a no hitter.

I was responding to the post saying that he's about to get pulled. But thanks for your gratitude.

Well I don't know about a no hitter, but we wouldn't have given a run away if J Hey was in

I realized that with the Astros moving to the AL West next year, the Astros can't escape Albert Pujols

It's this infatuation with not wanting to move young unproven talent, but you guys are dead on...every team is lining up begging Chip not to retire and come carry their team all the way.

The Braves don't have enough money to trade prospects for star players and re-sign them. And they definitely can't compete in free agency. Building from the farm system is the best way to find success and maintain it unless you're a big market team. Look at the Rays for a team that does it right and the Astros for a team that did it wrong.

This discussion was brought up last night, and I think that mindset from the FO is a product of being burned with the Texeria deal. They don't want to risk trading away top prospects under team control for someone who we get 1.5 years out of and likely won't sign a long term deal.

It's what we have to do. If our payroll was more like $105-110 million we could go out and get an impact bat or two. It isn't though, and it won't be until someone who actually cares about the team buys it.
