Sorry Hull had my math wrong. A lot simpler way to do it:
Take number of hits currently (81) add that to Variable (X) and divide by projected # of ABs (597 according to ESPN) and set it equal to whatever batting average you want him to achieve.
Solving for X will give you # of hits he needs to achieve this and then you simple divide the # of hits needed by projected # of at bats left (203) according to ESPN.
.276 BA to hit .230
.305 BA to hit .240
.336 BA to hit .250
.364 BA to hit .260
And so on and so forth. I'd say .230 with outside shot of .235 is likely (He'd have to hit .290 rest of way to achieve .235)
Formula:
(81+x)/597=(Batting Average Desired)
Once you have 'x', x/203 (203 is number of projected at bats left)
example:
(81+x)/597=.230
x= approx 59 (this is number of hits needed)
59/203= .276 (batting average needed over these 203 at bats to achieve year total of .230)

1 problem.
(81+57)/597= .231
so would it be 57/ 203= .280

Yeah I rounded up and down plus it's really late haha.
You obviously get the idea though.
I would say we should all hope for .230 cuz obviously that would mean he stays hot rest of the year.
He's batting almost .300 in July and has safely hit in all but 3 games in this month.

Hey guys, I just got home. I turn the TV on and Ron and Sam are breaking up. Just broke my heart and killed my buzz.

Those two are depressing. Hope they can work it out.

Depends on the fourth prospect.

Is there any substance to that? I haven't been around to hear any rumors

Interesting. That's not that bad of an offer. Not what the phillies shelled out though.
I really hope we get Willingham/Quentin/Bourn and Adams or maybe that jap from Baltimore

Wishful thinking or do you really believe this. If so who do you think we give up?
