Personally I like the self confidence
Self confidence is great. You need to be confident to be successful at anything, especially a major league sport. His comments, however, did not exemplify self confidence. They showed he can be a self centered douche.
Like everyone else has said, what he said was right, it's his time. So shut the frick up and prove it. When you are 24 years old, don't dare even mention the word trade or say you should be traded if something doesn't happen. Heck, don't do this ever. Ultimate douche move.
At least the vets got with him and set him straight.

I'd probably pay money to watch Chipper go off on a rook

To be fair, there's really no way of knowing what prompted this quote. Sometimes these guys get badgered with the same question over and over and over and over and over and give the political answer over and over and over and over and eventually are backed into a corner, asked very specific question and then respond to that.
Then the quote is lifted, placed in the middle of an article with zero context and makes him look like a total douche.
I just didn't think what he said was that big of a deal.

Jack Wilson has a strained right calf and will be out 4-6 wks. Happened while he was working out before coming to Orlando.

Dan, are the Braves going to win the wild card this year just because?

How far out is andrelton Simmons from the big leagues?

Hey, I've already said my piece.
Braves are 3rd/4th in the East this year. No Wild Card.

I forgot you were level headed when it came to those predictions
I love all of the "there is no way JHey sucks that bad again, and there is no way Prado's numbers dip again, and anything is better than Gonzo at SS"

2014 is when I would pencil him in the starting lineup. A great year this year and it is possible they could push for him next year depending on how Pasty plays.

Drew Sutton, Josh Wilson, or Andrelton Simmons will back up Pastornicky per DOB.
Posted on 2/24/12 at 12:15 pm to volfan30
I'm sure it will be Sutton. 0% chance it is Simmons.

The only one of those I wouldn't agree with is about JHey, but I'm basing that entirely on how much talent he possesses.

You would think Fredi would have mentioned him.

Whats the possibility of Renteria if he doesn't retire? Im sure hes got a at least a call from them.
Posted on 2/24/12 at 2:38 pm to Chatagnier
That won't happen. Wilson will be back in 4-6 weeks so all we need is a replacement for him until then. It will come from in house.
