Which is exactly why we should go out and use some of the depth we have and try to get an ace. Maybe we don't end the season on this long losing streak if we have one.

This is true. I still have faith in him as a coach to where he won't run the program into the ground. He will always have really good years but probably never an undefeated year, although I hope I'm wrong about it with the current team.
I will admit that I never followed Fredi enough before this year to give a good opinion, but he will not lead this team to a World Series. That's a fact.

My biggest concern with Fredi, out of all the mistakes he has made, is that he will destroy Venters and Kimbrel.

I was never worried about this, until the last week or so.
Props to both of them though, and O'Flaherty. They faltered a little bit down the stretch but what years they had. Can't fault them for how they were used.

Venters will go before Kimbrel. There isn't always a save situation. There is however, always an 8th inning. Except if the game gets rained out after 5+, which might happen once a season.

Where does Medlen fit in?
Last year he was destined to be a future middle rotation stud. Now, it's a bit hazy. He could be a damn good middle reliever and could be the guy who eats up some innings from EOF, Jonny, and or Craig.
