I love doing this. I made one last year and the year before and it was very interesting/helpful for me.

Let me know when you get done with it

I've got every known number/player input.

Might be off a hair here or there based on bonuses, etc., but the salary figures are there.

We're right around 92,000,000 this year. Next year, shedding Nate, we'll be around 63, but that's pre-resigning Prado, JJ, Hanson, Heyward, etc., who will all be making more.

Seems pretty detailed

Thanks, I read through that.

I wonder if there's any one who can (semi) accurately guess aribtration salaries.

Right now these are the guys who are arb. eligible:

Jair Jurrjens rhp 3.047 (re-signed 1/18/11, 1 year/$3.25M)
Peter Moylan rhp 4.061 (re-signed 1/18/11, 1 year/$2M)
Eric O’Flaherty lhp 3.062 (re-signed 1/18/11, 1 year/$0.895M)
Martin Prado 2b 3.105 (re-signed 1/18/11, 1 year/$3.1M)

Yeah....not a big fan of Wren.

He has made 3 bad moves for every good one he has made as GM, IMO.

Yeah that's about what Cot's has us at for this year and next

Nate and KK are going to be nice contracts to get rid of, and Lowe's and Chippers next year are going to be amazing(or Chipper's this year).

Hanson and Heyward shouldn't be making much more, as they won't hit arbitration until 2013

I would think so, yes. It'll be in that range.

Heyward probably around 530K and Hanson around 500K or so

I think in pre-arb years it doesn't really matter. We can basically say eff you, this is what you are making and they can't do much about it.

I see. I need to read up more on arb. Because I thought I had the gist of it.

But I don't.

In what year do they get to pick a number they feel they should be paid? Last year of contract?

After 3 years of service, and thereafter for 3 more years, I believe.

If I'm looking at it right, this will be his last pre-arb year. Next year he hits it.
