- Mets lost 1-0 to the Rockies today
- Ronnie still resting the knee

Through interpreter Franco García, Ronald Acuña Jr. said it was explained to him that knee soreness would be part of the return following the procedure. The knee bothers him more running than hitting. He hopes to be in Tuesday's starting lineup, but is available tonight.

LF and RF is a far cry from what we put out there last season at this time. Its harder to win when you can reasonably expect nothing from these 2 spots in the order.
AA needed to do better at the trade deadline this year

I'm gonna leave this here. I saw this stat on another board about Kenley and it goes along w/what Broski was saying last night, last night notwithstanding, he has been really good of late. And it's his 5th blown save of the season:

quote:

Since June 1, in his past 26 appearances before tonight, Jansen had converted 17 of 18 saves, posted a 2.45 ERA and .208 opponents' average, and totaled 34 strikeouts with 7 walks in 25 2/3 innings. Via David O'Brien

He was fricking terrible last night. Let’s move on and get us the W tonight.

Maybe he couldn't do better. If only he could have a magic wand that he could have waved over Acuna's knee, nothing else. Just saying better needed to be done. If you are happy with Heredia, Grossman and Rosario in the corner OF spots, then I guess I can hope and pray for better results from them

The Braves will enter the postseason with a strong case for best lineup in baseball. There is basically nothing in our farm system that could have been traded for a significant piece, outside of Vaughn. And if we had done that you'd be bitching about how AA didn’t add middle infield depth, because you’re a huge Braves doomer

Meh, we could've parted ways with Shewmake or one of our other pitching prospects not named Muller and got Drury.

But we've already beaten that dead horse into the ground.

Agreed. Sorry I brought this up again. I guess some people don't want me to be doom and gloom

Grossman

Has improved tremendously since coming over here and the analytics team broke down his swing.

I agree. But he's been really good the last month-6 weeks outside of last night.
