How are you guys watching the game? I don't subscribe to anything special and in Louisiana.

Also Carmago > Joey Bats

I like camargo. He obviously has a place on the team. The only question is where? 3rd for now for sure. But when Austin Riley gets called up where do you put Johan? Platoon him with Dansby?

I think he will split time platooning with Swanson and Riley.

I follow the O's also and Manny has said that he will still test the FA market even if he gets traded. In a sense, I don't know if it would be the best option to try to trade for him in the next month or two. No reason to give up one of our top prospects for a player that may not even consider staying in Atlanta at season's end. Call Riley up and see how much he produces this season and then determine if we need to go after Machado.

I live in Baton Rouge. I get the student discount for MLB TV. It's totally worth it

I think we make a run for Donaldson or Moustakas instead of Machado

Neither of those would be a bad option either. The only knock I have with Donaldson is that he is already in his early 30's and I'm not sure how many more big productive season he has under his belt. If we could get him for around 3 years that would be ideal imo, but anything more than 3 is too much of a risk with the money he is going to demand.

I used the military discount. 75 bucks for the yearly is not bad at all.

Team is looking like they are going to be at least mini buyers at the deadline (bullpen help and possibly a short term fix at 3B). 3+ years in to the rebuild and it's probably going to be time to trade a real prospect or two from the pitching depth. How are we ranking them these days? I'm talking guys we control through 2023+ so that eliminates Julio, Folty, Wisler and McCarthy.

I think I'd go

Soroka
Newcomb
Gohara
Wright
Wilson
Allard
Wentz
Anderson
Fried
Toussaint
Muller
Tarnok
Ynoa

Just an insane amount of depth. I'd say a handful will probably be dealt. Soroka and Newcomb would be totally off limits for me and those next 4 after that would only be available in getting a major controllable piece. Wentz and Anderson have a lot of value as well and could be as good a #2 piece as any team could offer if you get in a bidding war. Touki has had a really nice start to the year but his value around the league would have to be pretty high for me to deal him because I think the upside for the Braves outweighs the trade value at this point.

How are we ranking them?

Kimbrel and Familia will be on the market after the season. It might be a little pricey, but getting on of those guys would not be a bad option. Vizcaino has improved over the last couple of seasons but I don't think he is the long term solution for closer beyond this year. Possibly we can go after Herrera (KC) at the trade deadline or after the season.

The Braves have released Jose Bautista. Anthopoulos says Camargo will be the everyday third baseman.

Joey Bats is no more
