You guys aren’t getting it. It’s not about who is in the stadium or if the teams are any good. It’s about recruiting the area and TV. GT sells out when Clemson, UGA, and FSU come to town.
They would do the same with Mich, Ohio St, and ND. Those teams would love to showcase their program and meet recruits while down in ATL and Miami. You guys have to get past the number of people at the games. It’s all about TV. That’s what many of you aren’t getting. No one in TV cares if a game in Oxford, Starkville, Athens or Tuscaloosa sells out. The schools do but TV could care less. They care about how many commercials are seen on TV.
And the BIG will definitely be more than happy to have a team in Atlanta and Miami. Easy flights, recruiting hotbeds, and easy W’s for the upper tier teams.

Markets dont really matter if those markets dont watch those teams.
B1G learning this with Rutgers and Maryland.
Rutgers and Maryland are about potential. Some of you aren't old enough to remember that during Schiano's first time at Rutgers being ranked in the top ten was big news nationally because of the New York market.
I'd say GaTech and Miami would be potential members of the Big Ten because of potential. Miami can be considered a sleeping giant. GaTech has soooo much potential. Perhaps Big Ten tv money can make the difference at those schools. If I'm the Big Ten I take them over UVA and Clemson and FSU.
