Rory was gutted but he has been showing a split personality all year. I think this LIV thing has gotten the best of him and maybe Bryson is the ultimate insult. Bryson winning and showing the magic with the crowd might reconcile pro golf sooner rather than later.

Yeah, the USA chants seemed unnecessary and out of place at least to me....not sure the point of it. I mean I know it's the US Open but I can't recall ever hearing that before and I've been watching US Opens since the early 70's. It's not like Rory is Ivan Drago or this is the Ryder Cup or some such. Dude is as you said a genuinely good guy.

I think people are starting to see through Rory’s bullshite.
I used to think Bryson was fake, but I genuinely think he really cares how people view him and realized how much of a douche he was years ago. He can still come off as cringy but what we’re seeing seems pretty authentic.

Don't know about all that, but just seemed a bit odd to me. So the crowd chants USA for Bryson, but not Cantlay...is Bryson more American than Cantlay? Is it anti-Rory. Or is it maybe just 4 guys following Bryson who want their 15 minutes.
