Florida high school football > Tejas high school football

Not this year....
Actually not ever but especially not this year.
2 public schools with no recruiting ability are top 5 in national rankings with one being #1. Also have 2 others in the top 20. Florida is actually <<<<<<<<<<<< Texas high school football

any way of finding out the population numbers of 18 year old and under, or high school students, or high schools between the two states?

Damn i had to read that like 3 times before I understood what you were saying
It is quite a disparity
1,721 high school campuses (high schools) in Texas, in which 1,266,505 students were enrolled on May 26, 2010.
Florida High Schools: 448
I could only find that for Fl

I would take my HS team in AZ, Chaparral, this year against Katy all day long. We have the #1 Junior in the country playing WR, RB, DB and KR, Our QB, also a Junior, is also ranked top 5 in the country for Juniors and Seniors. WE ARE FOR REAL!!!!! We play in 5A and here is our record so far:
Gilbert - W 53-7
@ Boulder Creek - W 48-7
@ Mtn. View - W 30-0
Mesquite - W 48-21
North Canyon - W 68-13
@ Perry - W 55-6
@ Horizon - W 57-0
Pinnacle - W 51-7
@ St. Mary's - W 63-13
Desert Mtn. - W 50-0
Sunnyside -W 68-3
Lake Havasu - W 62-7

they play high school football in arizona??

The best team in the nation this year resides in Texas. Quite frankly, maybe the best three or four. This is not a knock on other great programs around the nation. It's just a very strong year for Texas High Schools.

Hamilton? That's the only Arizona team I can find ranked nationally.

My friend's son plays for Katy. He lived in WM for 3-4 years. Per him...WM = Katy except WM has more athletes. Just telling you what he said.

Katy has never had overly talented players. They are methodical about their preparations and unbelievably well coached. They have been for the last 20 years. The entire town is football and nothing but it. Everyone thought they would fall off when the district took about half their students to zone them to different schools but it's had no effect. There is a huge difference between new Katy and old Katy and if you are born in old Katy, you play football from flag the way they are going to want you to in 10 years when you get to Katy High. It's a way of life there that makes them so much better than their opponents. You never hear of a kid from Katy being the top athlete in the country but year after year you see them deep in the playoffs. I would agree with your friends son but talent is not what makes them a great team.

And you would most likely lose. As was said earlier, the best two teams and possibly 3 or 4 with Allen, Stony Point, and Coppell are playing in Texas this year. Those 3 teams are incredible, top 25 national rankings for all 5 at one point in the year, and would each win a state title in just about any state they played in outside of this one. They would each win Texas 5a D1 had they played in a normal year but they have to play each other. Its an incredibly good year for Texas high school football teams. Thus the reason so many are nationally ranked with two top 5 and Trinity at #1.

That's why WM has been so successful. They have another great team this year but even with as good as they are and number 13 in the country, I don't think they are better than Katy. Not a knock on them at all but much like the Coach said earlier in this thread, the team I've seen play 3 times this year is unlike any I have ever seen play at their level. Katy has a prestigious history over the last 17 years in this state and I have seen a lot of those teams. This is their best product ever IMO.

I did not realize that Trinity has to play Allen, Coppell, AND Stony Point before they get to the state finals. That's just brutal!
Posted on 11/27/10 at 2:07 am to TEXASTIGER22
Trinity wins 42-21 over Martin to get one game closer to destiny with Katy. Assuming Coppell takes care of business against Midland, next weeks game will be a real test for Trinity.
Katy plays tomorrow against North Shore at 1pm who they beat 1st game of the year 44-6

Katy got caught sleeping in match with North Shore. After beating them handily in the opening game of the season I guess they thought they were gonna roll over again and almost got beat. With 3 minutes left in the game Katy went for it on 4th and 1 but came up short. The Katy defense was given there first serious test of the season as North Shore was the first team who actually had a chance to beat them in the 4th quarter. Katy D stepped up and forced a 4 and out to take the game 32-27. Hopefully this will wake them up for their game against 13-0 Pearland next week at Rice stadium. Pearland is one of those teams who has played well all year but extremely well these past 5 weeks and will give Katy all they can handle. After this past preformance by Katy though i'd expect them to come out ready. I'm going to the game so i'll give an update on what I see as it goes along.
On the other side, another big time match up is coming for Trinity. Coppell beat the hell out of Midland 49-7 and are 13-0 coming into the game against 13-0 Trinity. If anyone is going to the game could you provide a recap? This game should be awesome!

Northshore keeping it close didn't surprise me. They are another team that stacks the deck with bigtime non-district games to prepare them later. They knew exactly what they were doing, and having played Katy earlier did nothing but help NS.
Posted on 11/29/10 at 3:28 pm to TexasTiger08
It really did. Katy was surprised by the team they saw. My hat was off to NS. They played a great game.
