I would be upset if I shelled out a bunch of money for tonight and then Fed ends up playing 30 exhibitions a year for the next 20 years, anyway. IMO, you're paying for the Nadal aspect, but calling this his last competitive match is kind of cheesy to me. As I've said before, I would rather watch 60 and 80 in the world play in the third round of the U.S. Open than almost any Laver Cup match.

Aren’t these matches weighted differently points wise?

Nvm, I found it. Today matches are worth 1 pt, tomorrow 2 pts, sunday 3 pts.

Sock lost 10-7 in the 3rd to Ruud. Fun last set and tiebreak.

Based on this line in his farewell letter, I sure wouldn’t do it.

At what point do they change this thing up? Team Europe has won every event and last year they won 14-1. Maybe Russia vs. the world?

I was just thinking if they started this in the mid-'90's, it probably would have been U.S. (Sampras, Agassi, Courier, Chang, Todd Martin) v. the world.

It might just be the optics, but this looks like clay court tennis. Murray and de Minaur have played 1:21 first set.

I never paid attention to how you can sneak a bunch of points in this time of year until they explained it's how Kontaveit hit number 2. I think Raducanu is running around trying to get her ranking up now, which is smart.

I think Djokovic also just wants to play as many matches as he can since he didn't get to play much at all this year. He just misses competing.

But yeah, he definitely wants to get his ranking up too.

It does seem a little off that you can win a couple 250 events and get more points than making the quarters of a slam. And both take about a week and a half.

ETA: That -200 looks like a good deal on Novak playing a tourney where Cilic is the 2 seed. He gets a couple very easy matches at first to get in rhythm too. Imagine a top player actually giving 100% effort toward winning a 250.

Albot line is crashing if anyone wants to fade Shapo. Bookmaker still hanging +292. Westgate is super asleep with a +330.

Daniil retires after the second set.

I thought there was a Beijing Masters in a week or two. I'm guessing China virus cancelled that?
