Isner special. 0 breaks and he wins. If there’s a stat for that he has to be the GOAT.

Dude has been on tour like 14 years. I was just thinking about how long he has tortured me. I saw Raonic/Isner in Toronto in 2012! God bless him, he's a good dude and I like seeing college players have long pro careers.

Didn't Isner win you 2 bets this week?
quote:

A rising-junior, Shelton is slated to return to Florida for the 2023 school year and has stated he wants to complete his finance degree.[5] However, some have speculated that Shelton may opt to turn-professional given his success on the ATP Tour.[5] Shelton has said "we’ll make a decision based on where my development is and what’s going to be best for me not just on the court but off the court as well,” Shelton said. “There’s no real results or rankings that are going to sway my decision in a big way."[5]

What about winning a Masters? lol

Yes, I have two wins from Isner this week. If he is not playing a great returner like Djokovic and it's two out of three, I feel like the match is basically a coin flip. So, when he see him at +150 like today, I have to jump.

They interviewed Shelton yesterday. Very likeable kind of swaggy kid. They mentioned he has earned $80,000 or so this week. If he wins tonight and doubles that or whatever, can he get it if he turns pro?

Don’t know but I’m curious too.

Looking at the rankings and I don’t see any big-serving lefties other than maybe Shapo or Lopez. Shapo is only 6’1 too, and neither have a solid ground game. In fact the only lefties with huge serves that I can even remember are Muller and Ivanisevic, and they were mostly S&V guys.

I’m sure I’m forgetting someone, but my point is Shelton’s game is rare and probably tricky to play at first. Return of serve will likely determine whether he turns out to be good or great.

ETA: Vesely is 6’6 but he’s kind of a bitch.

I decided last minute to come down after work. Caught the 3rd set of isner (go dawgs) and now watching Felix hopefully pull off this comeback.

Gonna check out Shelton for sure and then probably watch Alcaraz a little because I wanna say I’ve seen him live.

Jack Draper has a decent serve too.

Jesus is he gonna win a game?

I mean technically this 'should' happen vs. top 10 players, which is why the win over Ruud was crazy.

Seeing Isner +3.5 -136 at FD. Can’t imagine this holds until the morning. I’m about to drive and see if I can play it at a kiosk.

ETA: LOL it’s -280 now. My fault for being lazy and not depositing.

definitely would have liked that value at -136. anything we like today?

just parlayed all 4 favorites...probably stupid but seemed fun.

Freaking Isner will bust that with two tiebreak wins. Coric/FAA is pretty much a coin flip to me the way Coric is playing. But, that's not a bad way to get action today. I hadn't really considered use of the parlay in the tennis setting. Parlays absolutely burned me in college basketball earlier in the year.

Good battle here going with Medvedev and Fritz. Fritz had about three set points late in the first set, but Medvedev won easily in the breaker.

it's dumb af, dont do it.

im very willing to lose the bet if isner wins.

i also took medvedev -2.5 parlayed with tsitsi -2.5. just need one break

but yeah i normally dont parlay anything ever. would rather just lose money slowly betting straight action

Another Isner special is getting up 0-30 on return and losing 4 pts in a row.

I’m on +270 ML which will surely lose.

Have to agree, and this is usually the part of the tourney when FAA throws in a clunker.
