Easy win for Alcaraz. It's the spring of Carlos.

Alcaraz anhialates Zverev to win Madrid. Now 7-0 in his last 7 matches versus the Top 10. Champion in Rio, Miami, Barcelona, and Madrid.

Yes but my opinion is no more informed than anyone else's. Nadal speaking out against it was helpful

Have not seen anyone just erupt onto the scene like Carlos has in quite some time

The dude has the highest ceiling that I've seen in a tennis prospect

Alcaraz withdraws from Rome. That kinda stinks.

Shapo being Shapo. He did advance to the next round, so I am sure the crowd will be on him the rest of the tournament however far he goes.

I need more context before I pass judgment on Shapo here. I thought he had cleaned up his act after blinding someone a few years ago by firing a ball in anger. Sonego is a first class clown and I'm guessing the Italian crowd was difficult.

Almost for sure, but still should PROBABLY have enough self restraint to avoid telling the whole crowd to shut the frick up.

It's entertaining and the sport needs guys like him though, so who cares.

Sounds like the ATP will strip ranking points from Wimbledon, which would effectively kill the tourney. I would bet Wimbledon reverses course and allows everyone to play. The public backlash is already pretty significant.

Nice to see some pushback against clown world.

This Rome draw looks like pure chalk, plus Garin taking advantage of what I'm guessing was Alcaraz's section.

Yep if Alcaraz had played the quarters would be the top 7 seeds plus Sinner.

ETA: Oops 7 of the top 8. Rublev lost.

Scratch that. Rafa was limping for most of the 3rd set and lost to Shapotrash.

I was just going to say, I spoke to soon. Denis takes out Rafa.

Would be pretty wild if Alcaraz is the RG favorite before the draw is released.

Novak getting disrespected a bit here.

Tsitsipas is going to surpass Rafa as the 4 seed at Roland Garros which is big for his positioning in the draw.

He might be the best value bet. I think I saw him at 5/1 or 6/1 last time I checked. Djokovic at +275 is pretty dang good too.

Yeah, 5.5 to 1. Good value. I may throw on Sinner.

I wouldn’t play anything personally before the draw comes out. The books don’t usually take the odds down and you can get a little value if someone gets screwed or gets a dream draw.

She is going to have a ton of pressure on her if she rolls into Paris with a 28 match winning streak.

Sakkari managed to gag away 6-1, 5-2 on Jabeur. Vintage WTA.
