Thank you, sir. There are usually gaps at this point to fill in for qualies. I'm guessing they didn't have any?

We might be losing the 5 seed in the 1st round.

Ha, that might be a pick em. Tsetse beat Anderson pretty bad the other day, though.

If you could create a draw to knock out Novak, what would it look like? Would it be Simon/Seppi types or a bunch of servebots? Or a combo of both?

And the answer can’t be like all top 20 players. It has to be somewhat realistic.

You would need kyrgios there but obviously he's not

His serve is one that Novak hasn't been able to read

Yeah, he eats up some servebots like Milos. I think the only way he can be beaten is if some grinder like RBA can fatigue him and another guy like that is next in the draw. I can't think of many guys other than Djoker, Thiem, and RBA who I trust to even last in 3 out of 5 sets over two weeks right now.

Ugh, rough first rounder for Tennys. I was thinking he has a great shot to go deep as a guy who is super fit.

The one guy I would say is the most similar to Kyrgios is Bublik, and they would play in R2 if he can get past Edmund.

I guess if we’re talking 100% hypothetical then I would go with guys like Cilic, Stan, Kyrgios, Verdasco, etc. Floaters with low rankings.

Good point that I’ll have to emphasize more in my draw analysis, especially with heat/humidity factored in. The Grigor/Millman types should get a boost.

Osaka just pulled out of the semis for wokeness

And now she gets to play anyway. What a joke lol.

So today's men's semis and the two finals tomorrow will be played on Armstrong, so we may get an idea if it's playing slower than the outer courts.

I may have been wrong to write off Thiem since he could play all of his matches on the main courts and get a lot of night slots too.

RBA is pretty much the non-GS Novak killer

I’m actually surprised Novak didn’t call it quits or tank the 2nd set here.

ETA: Not because he’s a quitter or tanker. It just seems like the right move with all this tennis coming up in Sept.

Really a decent match so far, they're grinding each other to death
