Wonder how this pandemic insurance policy works. Do they just get paid out X amount? That might make it less likely that they reschedule.

First thing that popped in my head upon reading this:

"Now would be a great time to start an insurance company specializing in pandemic insurance policies."

Like, for real yo. If only I were like, you know, capitalized and such.

P-Mac has the CV.

I pray that he'll be able to endure 4-5 days of flu-like symptoms.

I would imagine tennis and golf will be the last sports to start back up again. Without prize money from fan attendance, I can’t see a path to playing. And I don’t think TV revenue amounted to much even before the virus, but I could be wrong there.

Tell your buddy nah... only over/unders on dates that certain leagues will restart.

This is the probably next best thing.

Well, we're probably done for the year once Cincy goes as they are not going to want to play the U.S. Open with no prep. Plus, you have the indoor courts being used as a hospital and Armstrong is a commissary right now. The French will probably get pressured into cancelling.

There is nothing else to do now, anyway. Look at the warp speed of Agassi between serve points. On edit, it looks like it may have been a tank job. Cliff with fiery Fred Stolle on the call was the GOAT announcing team (yeah, I realize Mary is mixed in here, too).

Great find. You could see the tongue pretty clearly on the other vid. Makes you wonder how much of this type of stuff goes on in other sports.

Man Agassi’s serve was such a nothing burger.

Was the MSB always littered with useless millenials, or is that a new thing since the virus? I only follow this thread and the poli board mostly, so I’m out of the loop.

I do find myself saying “damn I’m old” a lot more often lately, so maybe it’s just me.

At the moment, USTA plans to host US Open as scheduled.
Qualies: Aug 24 - 28
Main draw: Aug 31 - Sept 13
Main draw ceremony: Aug 27
Arthur Ashe Kids' Day: Aug 29
"USTA is carefully monitoring the environment surrounding COVID-19 pandemic, and is preparing for all contingencies".

Doubt it happens but at least they haven't cancelled yet.

USTA CEO was just on Tennis Channel via Skype. He says planning is on for sure. Got me hyped. USTA just pumped $50 million into the domestic tennis system, so he may be overly hopeful the US Open money will be there to fund all of these local tennis programs. I think he said a decision will be in mid June. He didn't seem too flexible on dates.
