Izzo is head and shoulders the best X's and O's coach in America. He could do a little better in the recruiting department, but it's not like he's at Duke or UNC.
I predicted Michigan State to win it all at the beginning of the tourney because I felt like he could outcoach the weak field this year, but that was before Lucas went down.

1) They're good. They play a rugged OOC schedule and don't care as much about wins and losses early as they care about getting better against the best competition.
2) They have a great coach.
3) They completely buy into Izzo's system and play the way he demands they play.

I really don't think this was the caseup until the tournament started. MSU wasnt that good truthfully and one of the most overrated teams in the country. Of course none of that matters now

This isn't about physicality. It's about the uneven calling. Either be consistent or don't have refs. This ticky tack shite against Tennessee then letting MSU rape them is ridiculous.
