Tebow, almost a laughing stock around the NFL when it comes passing, completed 10 of 21 passes for a whopping 316 yards. He averaged an unheard-of 15 yards per attempt and had a passer rating of 125.6.

the formula still needs to be tweaked if you can complete less than 50% of your passes and still have a rating that high

I dont care how long your completions are

A perfect rating requires at least a 77.5% completion rate, at least 12.5 yards per attempt, a touchdown on at least 11.875% of attempts, and no interceptions

so he maxed out the y/a and had a 10% td/a
and of course no picks

over the course of the season, if you're not a good QB, it will balance itself out.

More evidence: Brees > Rodgers

Here is a classic CHFF article on Drew Brees and his game against the Patriots in 2009: It goes into detail on YPA:

LINK

Only 5 players since 1960 have averaged over 16 YPA

Tebow had 15 today

The highest ever in a playoff game. I believe it was 93.8. ESPN scroll source of all of this.

yeah, that's because QBR never caught on because ESPN wanted to make it their proprietary statistic and didn't really tell anyone how to calculate it

and the fact that it doesn't really fix any of the problems that Passer Rating has

Boobs are boobs. Are you going to be queer and complain or are you going to enjoy Miss Hayek's wonderful chest sacks?
