I see what you are doing here. Yoy are trying to take away one of USC'S bad years. BUT The 2000 and 2001 season doesn't hurt USC IF they win it all this year!!!

Not at all. a 6-6 record nine years ago is not nearly as bad as a 6-6 record in 2009, with all else being equal. UF will not win a NC in the next two years and SC will win one.

Well If FLA doesn't win it all this year then I know they won't win the next year. USC has a much better shot next year!!! As does LSU!!

2010 will not count in sports decades..it never has worked that way. if you win a title in 2000 you aren't considered a champion of the 90's decade.
With that said...USC only has one title (bcs) and lost a basic home game in one of the National Championships...and most of their BCS bowls have been home games against a weak big 10 (not knocking big 10 but they haven't really excelled in BCS games and USC runs them off the field)
Florida...Zook took them out of consideration of team of the decade because of his years....they would be the 2nd half team of the decade though.
LSU...Some very avg years but like florida 2 BCS championships...very good in bowl games...but both championships were basically home games in New Orleans..1 against an Oklahoma team that didn't deserve to be there and one against an Ohio State team that fell into it just as much as LSU did.
All 3 schools can make a claim...If I had to choose I would choose UF of LSU because the SEC has been a little better conference throughout the decade....but USC has a very valid argument.
my team of the decade....who gives a shite you're not convincing anyone who has their mind set already

6-6 is the same in any year its a shitty record. usc has a losing season and .500 season in this decade. LSU and UF do not and they both have 2 titles.
there fore it should be bt LSU and UF. If usc adds a 2nd title this year they still don't pass LSU and UF unless both happen to win like 3 or 4 games.
No other team is really close to LSU and UF. OU has been good but they fall apart in major games losses to boise state and wvu with a retard coaching them hurts any chance they had.

You might have missed it, but aCtually, as the #1 team, they beat Michigan 28-14 in the Rose Bowl and have the 2003 AP NC.

usc has 1 title and a losing and a .500 season. they do have a undefeated season and another 1 loss year but imo that doesn't make up for the losing and .500 season
they need a 2nd title this year and with that and a shitload of conf titles they have maybe then they have a valid argument despite the 2 worst seasons out of the teams being discussed.

I put (BCS) in parenthesis....because I was going off what the colleges agreed to use for a championship system.
All kind of schools can pull diff. national championships in the past from different sources fwiw. I was going off the "offical" trophy. no matter how flawed it may be

USC has more wins, less losses, more BCS bowls, more BCS bowl wins, equal NC's as LSU, one less BCS NC. USC is ahead. They'll wrap it up this year or next. Book it!

oh so shitty seasons dont count?
no one has anything bc the argument is fricking retarded.
yall have a sub 500 season and a .500 season. LSU and UF have neither and have more titles than yall.

SUre they do, just as LSU's last year. SO do stellar 1 loss or less seasons of which USC has had many more. The recency effect works with both, as well as UF. With all being equal, a team that won NC's in 07, 08, 09 will get the nod over a team who won in 01, 02, 03.

was LSUs shitty season last year as bad as your worst?
USC has the 2 worst seasons out of everyone. try to fricking dispute that.

why are usc fans so stupid peej?
how is one year in a decade greater than the other? If its in the decade its all the fricking same. what a stupid fricking argument but when you have nothing i guess you just make shite up.

They've also had the best season and most number of seasons with one or less losses--by far. Take that into account and smoke it.
It'll be settled though, as USC or UF will win a NC soon.

they still have the 2 worst seasons and less championships right now than uf and LSU. plus you are the frick tard trying to say the year makes a difference.

You do not understand the recency effect. People will put more weight into recent seaons when evaluating all 10.
By the way, would you rather have a 7-6 season in 2002 or 2009?
Frankly, I could care less about the team of the decade- it's all conjecture as this thread proves. WOn't change the fact that USC has more wins, less losses, more BCS bowls, more BCS wins NC's and yes, even two shitty seasons. The two shitty seasons makes what they've done in the last seven years that much more great.
