I like the deal we have in place...but if you absolutely need Hawpe to get something done then I'm still open to any ideas

ok, just didnt know if you wanted more guys to continue to compete this year. id much rather have kept hawpe, but i am fine with it as well

Les has a plan B and plan C in line
as far as the trade, I think Smartass wins because he gets the picks. If Hawpe returns to last years form, which it looks like he is doing lately, then he is as good as Lee
for the shape Ron's team is in, I dont understand giving up the picks he'll need in the draft. Though im sure he'll try and push old man chipper on someone now

well, plan C may not be on the table, but it wasnt a great deal anyway.

I'm not a fan of you getting better

the picks in question, the first one, is like pick 16x12 plus like nine.
my team struggled bc i didnt have any power star hitters. i feel i acquired these
and les, i already had two picks to play with in the draft, so im only one pick below the rest of the league
those picks were pretty meaningless to me, and i used them exactly like i planned on when i got them earlier this year.

once chipper comes off the dl, i guarantee you that one of the playoff teams would take him for the stretch run

at this point i think we are pretty even. Your hitting is better by a little, but i think my pitching is slightly better. I need one more bat to even things out.
same thing for Ryan's team.

werent you just talking about how harden was going to frick him, and now you say he got the better end of the deal???

Hawpe is having an off year and his OPS is right below .900 at .890
His OPS over the last 3 years is .903
and last year hit 29/116/.903
Lee's OPS over the last 3 years is .860
3 year HR/RBI avg is 34/116
That isnt far off what Hawpe projects at a normal year. Plus he is 3 years younger.

Ron, never believe LEs' lies.

I wasnt lying, it was part true. I wouldnt touch Harden with a 10' pole.
i just didnt realize Ron was give up 3 picks in the 1st 5 rds

i had 7 picks in the first five rounds though. not much sweat off my back, and the talent is so diluted by the time you get to the redraft, i figured i would take my chances here
especially considering that the vote for 12 keepers went through, and i wasnt anywhere close to that number before i started my wheeling and dealing about two weeks ago
