Nady doesn't help me, and if you look at it two for two I don't like that deal.
I'd be down for trading Lackey for the right price, but Alexei is someone I want to hold on to.

I'm not strong for SBs... at least not from any individual player. I have a handful that could steal 20 or so, but not likely anyone that will swipe 30.

rmc I think I'll probably do the deal we had in mind. I'm outdealing myself trying to add 10 players to deals.

Like I was telling tankdog, Lackey would be available, if you want starting pitching.
My bottom two keepers are Tejada and Willingham right now, so if I can upgrade those spots it would be great.
Too much upgrading though, and I'll either pick up too many guys, or whittle it down to 10 or so good ones and end up keeping Phil Dumatrait.
I offered a large deal... as a starting point.

That's too much... plus it would give me 5 outfielders worth keeping.
I need to turn one of those OF into a 2B or SS, or turn Lackey into a decent SP and a decent 2B/SS.
Going after Pedroia is probably a bad idea because it's going to take one of my top guys to get him and that's not the move I need to make.
Unless you would do Lackey & DeWitt (or Kaz) for Pedroia? Uncomplicate things a little.

Both.
Pujols, Beltran and Lackey should be more valuable than Holiday, Ichiro and Pedroia.
Not that it's really a bad deal, but it's not a great one. Plus trading 3 for 3 doesn't help my keeper spots. That would still leave me with Tejada and Willingham as my last two keepers. Plus Pedroia and Alexei Ramirez. I couldn't play all my offensive keepers at once with that deal, so I'd have to just not keep one of them and keep a pitcher who isn't worth as much just to make the numbers work. That's not what I'm looking for.
I guess I might have misled you... I don't really need to shore up an OF spot, I really just think I can do better than Willingham as a UTIL spot guy... maybe just by trading draft picks.

is there any way you could deal the hammer to another team, say port or knat or redd, who might need one, and then we could do the deal i just mentioned?
