yes it's my fault there are vetoes of trades to keep teams from getting better and bribes going on.

FWIW the baseball and football leagues run just fine. so the problem must lie with someone who is just in this leauge

There was no collusion on the trade veto and Ryan's "bribe" wasn't a bribe. He just offered a better deal to Karma to pass on your trade offer which would then open the possibility for a trade with you. Now there probably was a more artful way for him to have done that, but to whine and bitch and characterize the situation as unethical is overboard.

For a guy that doesn't care you sure do bitch and moan a lot.

How did he offer a better deal to Karma? He offered him a 5th round pick to not trade. Where is that a better deal? You really think that it sets a good precedent to start offering draft picks to teams to not make deals? To offer a better deal McCain would have to offer me a better deal. He knew he didn't have what I wanted so he tried to bribe Karma. How is that hard to understand.

Who said I didn't care? I really don't care who wins but I do care when I see things going on that aren't good for the league. I don't think stopping trades because it makes your competition better is good for the league and I don't think offering someone a draft pick not to trade with someone is good either. If you and the others think these things are good then so be it.

for the record, i was just joking about my "bribe"

i didn't veto the deal because i honestly don't care right anymore

this reminds me of the rule i wanted imposed during last year where all transactions had to be done in "good faith." yes it is vague, but we could set a trading period or 2 during the year for people to dump keepers

also i think we should change the league constitution to outlaw trading picks after this year

I wasn't talking about you, it was McCain

and if you keep trying to run the same trade over and over eventually someone will not care anymore and the trade will go through

why?

why?

2 reasons mainly

1. trading picks has exponentially increased the ability of teams to offer uneven (for this year) deals.

2. what happens if stout, for example, doesn't want to participate next year? he's got 4, 1st round picks. how are we going to distribute them? if we get somebody to join in his place, then does he just assume those picks?

I think having a keeper league that's kinda the point that people seem to forget.

This is a better point, I would think that yes somebody would just take over the team as is

Well I asked if it was straight up or if it involved picks and you answered "yes"

If you can't see where there might be confusion then I don't know what to say.

Eta; damn, this league is DESPERATE to keep me from going back to back

last year i wanted to deal picks, but this year people have just taken it and run with it

i'm not in the other keeper leagues, but you are and said we are too whiney. do they deal picks in those leagues?

what happens if we can't find a replacement? he's got 1/3 of the 1st round

sorry nobes, i need to learn to spoon feed my thoughts when I post on here. I'm too used to dealing with people that have semi intelligence in my real life. I need to do better on here. I promise to work on that

0.2% difference in FT
