I think once the old guys told me "you're playing really solid poker" I should have gone aggro. Looking back I was way too conservative.

Edit: and my reads were great the entire 6 hours I was putting everyone else in a hand on the right hand.

Unless you are a super aggressive player from the start, you will feel that way for a little while. You have to loosen up without playing total shite.

You going to play any cash game? If so, I would suggest 1-2 NL Holdem. Stay away from 3-6 or 4-8 limit Holdem, it is a meat grinder of a game. I like to call it no foldem holdem. Try to get on a new table and buy in for $200 and see how you do. Play your normal game and don't get concerned about hitting big. If you get sucked out on, just say frick it and relax, it is going to happen.

if you are stuck in shreveport just got with 1-2 at el dorado

The 1-2 game at harrahs is full of fish, I played there and left up 500 after 2 hrs. My ride wanted to leave or else I would have stayed longer. I have good luck at harrahs n.o., not so much at winstar.

played the nightly tonight nothing really happened for the first hour then i had AQs limped utg hoping the old guy to my left would raise but he didnt... flop comes J92 2 spades, old guy to my right shoves i reshove he has 96 turn Q putting me at 93 percent since none of the 9s or 6s were spades in the hand and boom 6 of clubs on river.. next hand 3bbs shove with 96 of clubs he calls with 88 flop 357 turn boom 4.. 93 percent again oh wait 6 on the river again FML

that sucks.

so having about a day to think about it...i played WAY too conservative. i was just like superstar, too green in my first tournament. i just didnt want to make a donk mistake and get out early. but i had no cards so i needed to 3bet more...or AT ALL. thats right in the entire 6 hours i played i never 3 bet once or called a 3bet. im pretty sure that was my downfall my unwillingness to playback at everyone else.

Yeah I know...I will debate it during the week, but most likely stay safe and play the Sunday 5pm $345..which is the last tourney of the event..so thinking it will have a decent sized field.
