High score in bowling.
Maybe the # of times someone does it in a row???

Cy Young's win total is the definition of unbreakable.
Or Charles Radbourn's 59 wins in a single season.
Just not possible unless the game totally changes again.

Wilt average 50 points and 25 rebounds in a season. The same season, by the way.

Consectutive No-hitters by Johnny Van Der meer (sp?)
No one's going to throw 3 in a row.

PETER EDWARD ROSE'S all-time hits record!! AND Cal Ripkens streak!!! NO WAY they EVER get broken!!

511. No one will ever come close. It may be years before we see another 300 game winner.
Actually, Ichiro has an outside shot at Rose's record. If he keeps up at the pace he is now for the next 6 years, I believe. He will have a chance.
Pretty hard to imagine anyone breaking Ripken's streak, although it is possible.

I just can see this. Players today are all about themselves.

never's a long time, but i'd say these achievements probably will stand the test of time.
Cy Young's record for both career wins (511) and losses (316).
Johnny Vander Meer's consecutive no-hitter record (2).
not exactly a record, but sammy baugh leading the lead in interceptions, punting yardage, and passing yardage won't ever happen again

He needs 245 hits a year for 10 more years. He's 35. He's had 245+ hits once. Fail

You know how everyone always says Ichiro could hit 30-40HR's if he really wanted too? Is he planning on showing us this power before he retires?

It is too bad he started so late in the Majors. It would have been interesting!!!

PJ, I have class today so if you could make a call into Condon between 4:45 to 5:45 I would appreciate it.

Only in BP.
But, I watched David Eckstein hit three in a row over the wall in BP once. So take that fwiw.

Condon kept PJ on hold for over 25 mins, which is ok. BUT he then put OTT on the air and made me stay on hold for another 10 mins. frick that. OTT already had his three hours on the air,Put THAT BITCH ON HOLD!!!
