They had to go for style points after another team dropped FORTY on them.

Maybe because OSU was still using timeouts when they knew the game was all but over? Maybe because you play the game to the end? Maybe because it was, as it's been stated MANY MANY times before, an off-tackle run play that wasn't designed nor intended to go 25+ yards?

And honestly, I've always hated the Victory formation. Play the game till there's not time on the clock.

I'm not arguing the fact that Stoops hasn't run the score up before, but this isn't one of those instances.

it was 100% running up the score, it was a counter play, it was a play designed to go for a cut back TD or no gain.....

have no clue why dumbass Gundy called timeout.... i think he may have brett farved the td, told players to let guy score, no reason to call to and players barely lifted a finger to stop him, there were 2 blantant holds by ou but no calls....

but despite the fact that osu called a dumb to and had 1 left, it was 1st down, take a knee and they use last one, only 32 secs left, then take a 2nd knee game over.

i'll give stoops credit he didnt make it obvious, and gave osu a chance to stop it, but they didnt want to or didnt care.

stoops 100% had 60 points on his brain, knew that could be a selling point to pollsters....
