Dude he tried to score, whether you want to believe it or not. If he wasn't TRYING TO SCORE, he'd have kneeled the ball. Plain and simple.

LOL, ok dude, you go on believing that. its no coincidence that you are one of two people on this board who thinks this and everyone else here is calling you a pussy

Look, Stoops has always been a douche, and always will be. He's proven it over and over again.

The fact remains that he had 1st and 10 with 30 seconds left, and the other team had 1 timeout and he was up 13.

If they kneel the ball and OSU took a timeout, they'd just need to kneel again and its over. Instead, they risk players getting hurt, which an OSU player later did because they didn't want to accept that OSU played them close.

To hell with Stoops and the shite that is OU and its fans. I will support UT over them forever because as annoying as UT fans are, Mack Brown is a good guy and called off the dogs almost every game this season.

ill be the first one to agree with you. ive always called him blow out bob bc he does it all the time

but he DID NOT try to run up the score at the end of the game with an off tackle play.

Then why not take a knee. You have yet to explain that. Unless he was thinking of a potential score from that play, you don't run it. It risks a player getting hurt and serves nothing more than to POTENTIALLY pad the score.

That is how it is, whether you like it or not. Had he passed it, then it would be seen as more blatant, so he ran it. Even the OSU players were expecting a kneel.

coaches run the clock out all the time, especially when the outcome is decided and not in danger of being changed by a fumble

had it been a one score game, of course he would have taken a knee, but they got the ball with two minutes left on the clock, and were running the clock out with runs EVERY play. its the same thing either way, he was NOT TRYING TO SCORE intentionally man. do you know what the percentages are of plays of over 25 yards on the ground, im sure they are under 5%. if you are trying to score, dont you think you would be throwing it to the endzone with 25 seconds left. god, this is so ridiculous that you feel this way

geaux1227, just forget about it. Ron doesn't get it. He's comparing this to 2 minutes being on the clock when the last play was run.

He forgets that OU got the first down it needed, and that was all they needed to seal the game. Running it, which not only scored a TD but resulted in the OSU running back later getting hurt because the game was still going is just part of a good sportsmanship strategy.

They could easily have just taken a knee, especially knowing that OSU had admitted defeat, but instead run a normal play.

If OSU wouldn't have called a time out, the game would have been over. It the 40 year old man's fault (actually 41 yrs old now).

It was a run. Simply stop it.

I have no problem with running the score up. Even though the score is no longer a component, it is naive to think that the final score has no effect on the voters.

And the final play was not going to change that one way or another. Someone might try to explain why all his starters were still in? Of course shortie still had all his defensive starters in on the Barns last drive yesterday too, so draw your own conclusions there...

Was actually impressed that OK was not obviously trying to score by passing.

As long as you don't run off-tackle. I'll have to accuse you for running up the score!!!!!!
