Eric Gordon is 22
Al-Farouq Aminu is 21
Potentially 2 lottery picks in a very deep draft. Let's say the Hornets and T'wolves suck... we could get Anthony Davis and Harrison Barnes. Think about that.

Simple question, was anything wrong with the first deal?

Kevin Martin will turn 29 this season.

We wouldn't even be having this conversation if the first deal was approved.

All excellent points; however, this will be his response:

But bruh demps had a good deal for 3 really good big men from the lakers, why wouldnt he jus jump on tht first deal instead of waiting and gettin a better deal? it dont make sense.

Yes.

We would have been right back to where we are now in two or three years. Potential buyers can see that.

We need an owner. It's our #1 problem right now.

Stern is a very smart guy. He played this pretty great.

I don't know why you keep saying 3 bigs. The Clippers deal is better for selling the Hornets, that's it. The NBA owns the Hornets and they dont want to keep owning them. You get a potential star in Gordon on a rookie deal and a potential high lottery pick. Younger, cheaper talent making the team more attractive now and into the future for a buyer. The priority was making the Hornets attractive, not screwing the Lakers.

1. The Clippers deal will provide a marketable face of the franchise while the LAL/Hou deal would not have done that.

2. Demps was the GM with without a owner to veto trades that hurt the value of the organization. Stern stepped in to provide that. I doubt many potential owners would have just accepted the LAL/Hou deal as the Hornets wouldn't have been very marketable regardless if the team might have been slightly better this year.

Also Martin was the only real good piece in that deal because he was the youngest.
